Phone a friend! Actually Group-Loot is meant to be like other collabortive site where there is no real 'owner' of the data. There are no accounts, so nothing is linked to the data. Ask another member of the group to send you the link.
Keep it safe! The best recommendation we can make is "dont lose the link" ! Agreed, not very useful after the fact, but we recommend to bookmark the link or if you go back to the group-loot.com homepage it should be listed in your most recent visited groups. Note: this list is stored in the browser of your device so if you visited using your phone, it wont show up on your tablet or desktop computer unless you visited using those decvices as well. We respect your privacy so if you clear your browser's cache, well, it's gone...'
Recovery Info. We are currently working on a feature where you will be able to store a recovery email or phone number and that link can be emailed to you. We are also considering having an account where you can store bookmarks to your various groups. These options however all have privacy and security inplications needing careful assessment.
If you like to prepare things in advance: Create a group for your adventure or campain only known to you. Add all the items you have carefully plotted that are likely to be found in the next session. During the session itself, you can quickly use the "transfer" button to send those items into their group loot while you are desribing it to them for a seamless experience.
If you are a "just in time GM": Let your players do all the hard work. Let them enter the items as you describe the loot to them. When you have a spare minute when your players suffer from analysis paralysis, go in quickly and enter the 'secret info' for the real value of that ancient tea-set they found or that innocent looking pendant which is in fact cursed...
Yes of course! But beware... This site does not use cookies. We do use the browser's "local db" to store the list of groups you recently visited. You can use the "clear" button if you want to erase it. We don't collect personnal data, we dont spy on you or track your web behaviour. However, anyone with the link (typically your fellow party members) have access to consult and change any data you may enter in there. So be smart, dont enter data you would not want to be made public, common-sense is your friend!
